World Fund and CREFIAF Signal Memorandum of Understanding

The World Fund to Combat AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and the African Sub-Saharan Group of French-Talking Supreme Audit Establishments (CREFIAF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reinforce cooperation with Supreme Audit Establishments (SAIs) in African francophone nations.
“We’re excited to have CREFIAF as a part of our partnership to strengthen the usage of nation assurance techniques in francophone nations,” stated the World Fund’s Chief Monetary Officer Adda Faye. “By a collaborative strategy, each organizations will capitalize on mutual advantages by accelerating efforts to leverage the ‘cour des comptes’ in assurance providers for World Fund grants. It will successfully promote transparency, accountability and good governance, in the end benefiting all stakeholders within the World Fund ecosystem”.
By this MoU, the World Fund and CREFIAF will work collectively to coordinate and facilitate the trade of data, expertise and information regarding audits and advisory actions. Collectively, they’ll attempt to reinforce relations between the World Fund and member SAIs of CREFIAF with the purpose of bettering audit packages.
“This MoU is a crucial step in the direction of enhancing our collaboration with the World Fund and supporting SAIs in African francophone nations,” stated Mbah Acha née Fomundam Rose Ngwari, CREFIAF’s President of the Governing Board. “We’re dedicated to working collectively to construct the capability of SAIs and contribute to improved governance and accountability.”
The MoU displays the World Fund’s goal to bolster the effectiveness of the exterior oversight system for public funds. Its purpose is to have extra World Fund grants managed by way of nationwide financing administration techniques.
